Private Lessons provide one-on-one coaching tailored to your goals, skill level, and schedule.

Small Group Training offers focused instruction in a more personal setting with hands-on coaching and individual attention.

Training is available in-person, field-based, or at your preferred location depending on the service.


Four Pillars Combatives is not a traditional gym. Training is offered through:

Seminars can be hosted anywhere in the world.

Field-based training takes place in real-world environments such as backyards, parks, open fields, and other practical locations in Pearl and the surrounding area.

Private lessons can be done at a location that works best for you.


Field-Based Training, also known as Backyard Training, is group training done outside of a traditional gym setting—similar to how the military often trains.

Instead of training only inside a building, we train in real environments such as backyards, parks, fields, and other practical spaces.

Why train this way? Because real-world violence doesn’t happen in perfect conditions.

Traditional indoor training has value, but it often takes place in controlled environments with flat floors, open space, and predictable conditions.

Field-Based Training helps build adaptability, awareness, toughness, and the ability to perform under pressure in real-world conditions.

Some training—especially grappling and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu—is done on mats when appropriate for safety and effective skill development.

At Four Pillars Combatives, we use both field-based and mat-based training to create well-rounded students prepared for both performance and reality.


 Yes. We teach Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, Submission Wrestling, and Filipino martial arts including Eskrima. 


Our pricing varies depending on the type of class and membership package. 


No, we welcome students of all levels and experience. Our classes are designed to accommodate beginners and advanced students alike.


 Beginners to advanced, civilians, law enforcement, military, corrections, security, competitors, fighters, and anyone serious about skill and fitness. 


No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling system that blends No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling, focusing on takedowns, positional control, escapes, and submissions such as chokes and joint locks. Training covers both standing and ground fighting, emphasizing pressure, control, movement, and adaptability. It develops the ability to control, escape, and submit an opponent while improving timing, leverage, conditioning, and overall grappling skill.


 Eskrima is a Filipino martial art focused on weapons training, including sticks, blades, and improvised tools. It also includes empty-hand techniques, close-range striking, control, and weapon awareness. 


 Both. We train for real-world self-defense and sport performance. Training is adapted to your goals. 


 Yes. Small group training offers more attention, better coaching, and faster development. 


 Yes. We offer personal training separate from our self-defense and martial arts lessons. Training focuses on functional fitness, strength, endurance, mobility, and overall performance. 


 Yes. We offer boot camps focused on functional fitness and combat conditioning to improve strength, endurance, mobility, and work capacity. 


 Yes. No experience is needed. We build you from the ground up.

Yes. We offer Cardio Kickboxing/Cardio Combat training focused on fitness, conditioning, endurance, and striking fundamentals through heavy bag work, focus mitts, pad drills, bodyweight exercises, and high-energy workouts. Training helps improve cardio, coordination, strength, mobility, and overall fitness while developing practical striking skills in a fun and challenging environment.


Yes. Close Quarters Firearms Combat is part of Four Pillars Combatives and focuses on real-world firearm application in close-range and high-stress situations. Training covers weapon retention, movement, defensive shooting concepts, close-range engagements, decision-making under stress, and integrating firearms with striking, grappling, and weapons awareness. We also cover when and how to safely draw a firearm for self-defense based on awareness, positioning, threat level, and real-world application.

Traditional shooting ranges and sport shooting alone do not teach the realities of close-quarters encounters or the skills needed to manage violent situations at close range under pressure.


Yes. At Four Pillars Combatives, we work with both beginners and experienced fighters looking to improve their striking, grappling, conditioning, strategy, and overall performance.




They are separate.


Our regular public classes are designed for beginners, hobbyists, and everyday people who want practical martial arts, fitness, confidence, and real-world self-defense training.


We also offer separate fighters-only training for students who are preparing for competition or want a higher-intensity training environment.


This allows regular students to learn safely and build skills at the right pace, while fighters can train with the intensity, pressure, and focus needed for competition.


At Four Pillars Combatives, we do not throw beginners into a fighters-only environment. Students are trained according to their goals, experience level, and commitment.
