Womens Self Defense

Women’s Self-Defense at Four Pillars Combatives focuses on practical, reality-based training designed for real-world personal protection—not sport, competition, or unrealistic techniques.

This program is built around the situations women are most likely to face, emphasizing simple, effective skills that can be applied under stress.

The goal is simple: recognize danger early, avoid it whenever possible, respond effectively when necessary, create an opportunity to escape, and get home safely.

Training begins with situational awareness and threat recognition—learning how to identify danger, recognize warning signs, and avoid bad situations before they escalate. Students learn how to move with awareness, confidence, and purpose, reducing the likelihood of becoming an easy target.

A major focus is placed on boundary setting and verbal skills. Many threats can be prevented or disrupted before becoming physical. Students learn assertiveness, command presence, and verbal de-escalation—how to use their voice to deter, disrupt, and disengage.

When physical defense becomes necessary, training focuses on high-percentage techniques that are simple, practical, and effective under pressure.

Training includes:

- Escapes from common grabs and holds (wrist grabs, hair grabs, chokes, bear hugs)
- Breaking contact and creating distance quickly
- Defending against pushes, pulls, and takedown attempts
- Ground survival and getting back to your feet
- Simple, effective striking (palm strikes, elbows, knees, low-line kicks)

Students also learn how to function under stress, manage panic, and make effective decisions during high-pressure situations. The focus is not on “winning a fight.” The focus is survival—disrupt the attacker, create an opportunity to escape, and get to safety.

These group-based sessions focus on awareness, prevention, and core self-defense fundamentals. They are structured, beginner-friendly, and ideal for friends, churches, businesses, schools, and organizations. The goal is to provide practical skills that can be learned and applied quickly.

Group Lessons

Group training allows students to build skills in a structured environment alongside others. This format improves repetition, timing, confidence, and the ability to apply techniques under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on practical self-defense.

Private Lessons

Private training provides individualized instruction tailored to your specific concerns, lifestyle, and personal needs. This allows for focused training, faster progress, and greater confidence through personalized coaching.
